Province History

CHF Kripajyothi Province

CHF Kripajyothi Vice Province, the eighth Province of the Holy Family Congregation, has Navajyothi Province, Thrissur as its Mother Province. It was canonically erected on 2 February 2009 and solemnly inaugurated on 12 September 2009, marking a significant milestone in the growth of the Congregation.

The Provincial House is gracefully situated at Muvattupuzha in Ernakulam District, under the ecclesiastical jurisdiction of the Kothamangalam Diocese. The apostolic presence of the Province extends across four dioceses: Kothamangalam Diocese, Changanassery Archdiocese, Idukki Diocese, and Thuckalay Diocese.

At present, the Province comprises twelve convents, two CBSE schools, the Kripamatha Social Centre, and two Homes for the Aged. It is enriched by the committed presence of 85 professed sisters and three aspirants, all striving to live out the charism of the Congregation with zeal and dedication.

Most of the convents are actively engaged in direct family apostolate, where the sisters reach out through family visits and vibrant parish ministries, bringing Gospel values into the heart of family life.

The steady growth and vibrant development of the Kripajyothi Vice Province stand as a living testimony to God’s loving providence, made visible through the tireless dedication, generous sacrifices, and sincere service of the sisters. Extending its missionary vision beyond boundaries, the Province has also established mission stations in Slovakia and Ireland, thus participating in the universal mission of the Church.
